Exmoor zoo has some unique and very unusual animals –Binturong, singing dog, Tayra, sand cat, hunting dog, Yellow throated marten to name a few. Perhaps most famous however, is the Exmoor Beast. Exmoor zoo has the only black leopard on exhibit in the UK! Is this the cat that has been seen roaming around the South-west and Exmoor? The Exmoor Beast myth is as alive now as it was back in medieval times.

Northam Burrows Country Park
Northam Burrows Country Park lies at the western edge of the Taw Torridge Estuary. Lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the Burrows forms an integral part of North Devon’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Northam Burrows Country Park is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is about 253 hectares of grassy coastal plain with salt marsh, sand dunes and generally unimproved grasslands.
Killerton House & Gardens
Killerton is one of National Trust’s biggest and most beautiful estates in Southwest England. Once the home of the Acland family, Killerton is a lovely Georgian house set in 2,600 hectares of working farmland, woods, parkland, cottages and orchards. The tranquil, open gardens remain beautiful throughout the year, whilst the many miles of winding paths through parkland and forests area great for exploring further afield.

Clovelly is a beautiful, picturesque fishing village, steeped in maritime atmosphere and history. It was once owned by the Queen of England!
