TracAce Limited has won a grant from Devon County Council’s Devon Elevation Fund to upgrade our visitor apps and help deliver on our sustainable tourism goals.
Project Name: TracAce Spotter
Project Reference: ND038
Funder: Devon County Council – Devon Elevation Fund – Community Renewal Fund
The Devon Elevation Grant will be used to create an exciting new TracAce Spotter feature within our TracAce Explorer Apps. Spotter will be an amazing addition for attractions such as Parkland, Nature Reserves and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, helping with their conservation efforts whilst providing visitors with an exciting resource to turn their visit into an unforgettable experience.
TracAce Spotter will enable park rangers and visitors to report sightings of plant, tree or animal species that are of special interest to the area. New and returning visitors will then be able to see the trends and locations of these sightings, helping them to also find and experience the wonders of these natural areas.
The goal of our Spotter feature is to enable visitors to contribute to the preservation of precious of species flora and fauna, helping rangers monitor and protect these species. The app will also encourage more people to not only visit the attractions to seek something special, but to learn about, and engage with nature.
The funding from Devon County Council has enabled TracAce Ltd to create Spotter features, thus enhancing the design and functionality of the TracAce Explorer app. This will also enhance our ability to provide White Label products for visitor attractions. These can be developed as stand-alone Apps that have the look and feel of the attraction, whilst making use of TracAce Explorer’s amazing features and smart technology.
The new developments on TracAce Explorer should be live by the end of July 2022. More news on these exciting developments will be coming soon.
